100K Tokens Context Window, ChatGPT vs Bard & AI Video

New focus in LLM race, Context Windows

There was a big announcement last week by Anthropic that they expanded their context window from 9k tokens to 100K tokens (About 75,000 words).

Currently, through the OpenAI API, I only have an 8K token context window. There is also a 32K context window announced during their demos last month but I have only seen a few people with access in my Twitter groups.

I you are processing transcripts, or writing books using AI this is a huge difference.

To put this into context for my SMM automation scenario in Make.com the 8K limit allows me to basically process 27-29 minutes of video transcript through the API. When the 32K model becomes available that should bring that closer to 110-120 minutes.

In Anthropics testing, they loaded the Great Gatsby book with a single sentence change. The model was able to find the change within 22 seconds.

I plan to check out Anthropic more in June and will let you no more then.

ChatGpt vs Bard

I tried Bard personally this month after getting access to the beta. My first impressions were that it was slow and the responses I got were not as good as Chat GPT. I think the long-term for Google looks good, I am especially interested in the other modality tools they have for a project I am designing now for a digital asset management system.

AI Video Progress With Live Examples From Twitter

AI video is still one of the areas that I am most excited. Text generation is one thing, but video generation and automation of a video editing process I believe has much more value because of the time and skill requirements.
