The Future Of Image Editing And AI Governance
Drag Your GAN has taken twitter by storm this weekend with a glimpse at new image editing capabilities
The End Of Photos With Eyes Closed Or Cousin Ed Not Smiling.
Everywhere I looked this weekend on Twitter was “DragGAN” a new simple way to manipulate images. How many photos have you taken where someone had their eyes closed or maybe not smiling? This editing technology addresses that and much more.
You can check out the short demo video on this tweet:
I will be experimenting this week with Drag Your GAN written about in this paper and shown in the video below.
This open source tool will fundamentally change how you use AI.
I will update on my progress.

Using Midjourney For Interior Design
I have used Midjourney text prompts for logo concepts, product concepts, and interior design concepts, but I have never started with a sketch. This tweet thread expands on @nickfloats process for going from a sketch to image. Keep in mind, the process of Generative AI is not going to keep everything in place from the sketch but it’s a great way to get close.
Here is the twitter thread going deeper into the process:
📐✏️ From Sketch to Photo in Midjourney 🛋️🌇
Creating a sketch of an interior design and bringing it to life is something many people would love to do.
But how exactly do you get your sketch into Midjourney?
Here's an approach that will help you keep things consistent.

G7 Summit In Hiroshima And International AI Governance
The theme of this month has been AI governance. Started off in many countries in the EU, then the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, and now a meeting in Japan with the G7 leaders to discuss a global strategy to set ground rules for AI in light of the concerns over its geopolitical impact.
I had ChatGPT write an editorial column this morning based on an article about this weekend’s summit by the Japan Times. This was written using one of my tech reporter avatars that I’ll be making available this week along with some copywriting avatars.
That’s it for today, tomorrow I’ll be sharing a prompt I found that helps write fiction books that I started testing this weekend. I am making some refinements based on my initial testing hoping to improve the length of output.
Until tomorrow,
Kevin Davis
