A Deeper Look Into Autonomous Agents And Chat Assistants…

With the first wave of generative AI, I never really thought in less than 6 months we would be where we are today. We are edging closer at a rapid pace to automating many time-sucking research and data-entry tasks. We are also closer to ChatGPT taking on critical thinking tasks and finding solutions based on our goals with AutoGPT.

Autonomous Agents…
Earlier this week I talked about and gave a demo of Godmode, a browser-based Autonomous Agent. I found it slow and it still required my input to continue to the next task. This morning I found one that looks to be much better, AgentGPT.

Like Godmode, you can add your own API key. I did an initial test with it without the API key so it stopped before completion. The task I gave it was “Create a detailed marketing plan for a brand agency”

AI Assistants…
Hexomatic is a great solution for automated web scraping and workflows. Like Zapier and Make they have a library of prebuilt scenarios for common tasks or you can set up your own.

Here are some examples of what it can do:

• Check pages and create screenshots as mobile devices. Great for auditing the mobile responsiveness of a whole website.

• Perform a site-wide accessibility audit

• Scrape Google Maps Listing for a search

• Scrape Google Search to a spreadsheet

MULTI-ON Browser is a ChatGPT plugin that puts your results into action. I think their demo use cases are a bit shortsighted, and it could have much larger implications. You can compose a tweet and then tell it to post to Twitter for you, make restaurant reservations, or check the weather. I don’t know if I would use it for any of those cases. But something like finding the top five business books on Amazon and giving me their title, description, and reviews. Another example would be to give me the top 10 websites ranking for “branding agency in Portland” and give me their meta tags.

DODON.AI is an interesting solution outside the marketing space. It is described as GPT for legal professionals. I think we are going to see a lot of this developed in the next 12-18 months. AI Assistants are being developed for very specific industry use cases. With their proprietary information built into the backend to streamline operations.

My plan is to dive deeper into Hexomatic and AgentGPT and how they may help operations in our agencies.
